A Cold Week

(Thanks for the awesome blanket cousin Chris!) The girls are in the midst of their first cold, but seem to be handling it well. We took them to the doctor just to make sure all was well, and she thinks they'll be on the mend soon. They enjoy letting out a big yell after they cough a few times, which is funny, and makes them seem much sicker than they probably are. We also found out their weight today(Mon. 1/5). Matilda is 13 lbs. 14.5 oz and Elinor is 14.5 lbs. So they are still less than a pound apart and Matilda still seems a bit taller, although they won't measure them until their 6 month check up (the end of January).
We had to take Tilly back to the doctor today (Wed. 1/7) because one of her finger nails got infected, but it's really fine. She does weigh 14 lbs. 1 oz now. She gained 3 ounces in 2 days. Pretty impressive. She even smiled and laughed at the doctor after the terrible finger squeezing. Such a little trooper.

The girls are growing fast and having lots of fun. They enjoyed spending time with their Tiggeman/Bath family over the winter break. They were great on the drive to and from San Antonio and stayed on the routine while we were there. Their furry cousin Isobel seemed to be a huge fan of them. Isobel is a typically shy grayhound, but she followed the babies around everywhere (except when they cried). It was fun to watch.

We're getting back to normal at home and hopefully we'll all be well again soon. We have a cute video of Elinor playing with their new toy, but it won't upload. Whenever they see it, they start moving their hands. It's really fun. Here are a few new pictures:

Like the big girl shirts. Don't all girls check out what socks/shoes they have on. Well the ones I know do.

Oh and hope the girls fell better soon. Good thing the finger squeeze didn't hurt that much. Doesn't sound fun though.
